Hot Drop Records is an independent music label formed in 2009 with the aim of releasing and
promoting exciting new music, primarily from European-based folk artists but with an eye and an ear
on things further a field…

Long Way to Be Free is the label’s first official release (December 2009) and the debut album of
Harry Bird and the Rubber Wellies. It’s a folky brew of songs inspired by the good times and dark
days of a contradictory world and the characters that inhabit the different places they have come
to know on their travels.
